Create an API Token in BigCommerce

To use the Convermax features, you need to create a private API token. This token lets us connect to your BigCommerce store.

Note

If the Convermax team has requested that you change permissions, please create a new API account.

Follow these steps to set it up:

Create a New API Account:

1. Log in to Your BigCommerce Admin Dashboard.
2. In the left sidebar, click on Settings.
3. Scroll down and find the API section.
4. Click on Store-level API accounts.

5. Click + Create API account in the top right corner.

Configure the API Account:

1. Set Up the API Account:
   • Token Type: Select V2/V3 API token.
   • Name: Enter Convermax SiteSearch.

2. Set Permissions:
   • Content: Select read-only.
   • Customers: Select modify.
   • Information & settings: Select read-only.
   • Products: Select read-only.
   • Metafields Access: Select full.
3. Click Save.

Send Credentials to Convermax:

1. A pop-up will appear with your Client ID, Client Secret, and Access Token. Copy these credentials.
2. Click Done.

3. The browser will prompt you to save the file with new credentials. Save the file on disk.
4. Email the file with credentials to us at [email protected].
