How to get a preview code for your store

If your BigCommerce store is under development and you want to preview the store via a link without going through the admin panel, you will need a Preview Code or a private store link.

You can find them by following the instructions:

1. At the bottom of your theme’s Customize mode, click the Copy private store link button
2. The private link will be copied. Now paste it into your browser’s address bar. Link example: https://your-store.mybigcommerce.com/?guestTkn=gsttkn1234
3. The last part of the link is the Preview Code. For the link above, it’s “gsttkn1234”

Sometimes when using a private store link, you may encounter this regardless of the Preview Code in the link:

You don’t need to paste the Preview Code into the form field, you just need to solve reCAPTCHA and click Submit.
