Convermax for Shopify

Everything needed to run Convermax on a Shopify store, in the order you will need it.

Install the app

Go to Year Make Model Fitment Search in the Shopify App Store and click Install.

Storefront widgets are added in the Shopify theme editor as an app embed and app blocks. The app does not use script tags or change your theme code. The app asks for access to:

• Products, collections, and publications — to index products and keep fitment data in product metafields
• Online store pages, blogs, and navigation — to create the search page and landing pages, and to build category trees from menus
• Themes (read only) — to check that the Convermax app embed is turned on
• Metaobjects and files — to index metaobject-based product attributes and to upload brand logos
• Orders — to rank popular products and build the Bought Together block
• Customers and companies — to save the customer’s garage and apply B2B catalogs
• Markets, locales, and translations — to index market prices and translated product content
• Pixels and customer events — to collect search analytics

Connect fitment data

Start with how the YMM (fitment) search works for the general concept, then connect the sources that provide fitment information for your products:

• Fitment data integrations — PDM, SEMA Data, Turn 14, ASAP, and more
• Custom fitment data sources and formats — tags, metafields, and spreadsheets
• Wheels and tires data integrations

Add widgets to your theme

Widgets bring search, the Year/Make/Model bar, My Garage, and fitment features to your storefront.

Tip

For merchants with active online stores. Before making any changes to your live theme, we recommend:

1. Creating a copy of your current theme (Duplicate)
2. Integrating our app into the copy theme
3. Testing thoroughly
4. Publishing only after successful testing or applying similar changes to the current theme

The app includes optimized presets for popular themes, each with pre-configured search settings, theme-specific widget styling, and layout adjustments.

Presets are available for Athens, Caros, Chromium, Dawn, Ella, Empire, Enterprise, Impact, Minion, Pursuit, Spark, and Warehouse.
