Search page

When the app is installed, it creates a Search page at /pages/search (Online Store → Pages). The page contains only a Convermax container:

Caution

Do not delete or rename this page. Convermax search results are shown only there; without it, search submissions from the storefront lead to a 404 page.

How search works

Search and autocomplete come from the Convermax app embed, so there is no app block to add:

1. Turn on the Convermax app embed and select your theme, as described in Choose a theme to integrate. With Theme set to None, search does not load.
2. For preset themes, the app replaces the theme’s search box with the Convermax search box. For Generic or custom themes, replace the search box via code.
3. As the customer types, the search box shows autocomplete suggestions and matching products.
4. Submitting the search opens /pages/search with results, filters, and sorting. The default sort order and pagination type are set in the app embed settings.

Search results appear after the first indexing is complete (Convermax app → Home → Search index card).

Restore a deleted search page

Create a new page in Online Store → Pages with the title Search (the URL handle must be search). In the content editor, switch to HTML view (<>), paste the container above, and save.

The app also creates a Brands page (/pages/brands) that lists your vendors.
